Terms, fees & cancellation

Practical terms of professional work

These are the general terms of the practice. The specific fee, frequency, cancellation arrangement and working frame are discussed and confirmed in writing before ongoing work begins.

Initial consultation

The initial consultation considers what brings you, what you are seeking, and whether the proposed work fits your present circumstances. It also covers availability, frequency, fees, location and the working frame. Sending an enquiry or attending an initial consultation does not in itself create an agreement for ongoing work.

Fees, frequency and payment

Fees are agreed individually. The frequency of sessions, payment method, invoicing and payment dates are confirmed before ongoing work begins. Any later change is discussed in advance.

Cancellation and missed sessions

A regular appointment reserves clinical time. The notice period for cancellation and the terms applying to missed or late-cancelled sessions are set out in the individual written agreement before ongoing work begins. Exceptional circumstances can be discussed when they arise.

Online and in-person sessions

For online sessions, each person needs a reasonably private setting, a suitable device and a stable connection. A practical arrangement for a significant connection failure is agreed at the outset. Online work is considered in relation to physical location, applicable professional and insurance requirements, and the circumstances of the work.

In-person work may be available by prior arrangement in West Yorkshire. A consulting address is provided privately once an appointment is agreed.

Confidentiality and records

Information is treated as confidential and records are kept securely. Information may be disclosed with your permission, where the law requires or permits it, where this is necessary to protect someone from serious harm, or where limited information is required for professional consultation, supervision or administration. Whenever practicable, a proposed disclosure is discussed first.

Communication between sessions

Email and the website form are used for brief enquiries and practical arrangements. Messages are read during working periods and are not a channel for urgent support. Arrangements for contact between sessions are agreed as part of the working frame.

Ending work and complaints

The question of ending can be raised by either person and, where possible, is discussed within a session. Complaints should first be sent directly to Dr Goli so that they can receive a written response. Concerns about the conduct or competence of an HCPC registrant can also be raised with the HCPC through its published process.

Emergency support

The practice does not provide emergency or crisis care and messages are not monitored continuously. Current official routes for urgent support in England are set out on the Emergency / Crisis page.
